Paediatric Cardiology Program

IntroductionActivity LeaderActivitiesSuccess Stories

Congenital Heart Diseases are a sub-group of diseases which are present in an individual from birth and are related to heart.

With the high birth rate in india it is estimated that around 1.8 Lakh children are born with congenital heart disease in India every year. In India even today most of the deliveries are conducted either at home or at primary care centres . Also the means of antenatal diagnosis are very scarce. There is delay in diagnosis after birth and with very few centres offering care for congenital heart disease there is huge burden of children with untreated congenital heart disease in India .Around 10% of infant mortality in India is due to congenital heart disease. All these children are in need of timely and appropriate treatment.

With our paediatric cardiology program we screen and treat patients of cardiac disease.
