Dr. Sachin Palnitkar is an honorary consultant Hepatology and Gastroenterology at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune, India.
Dr. Sachin Palnitkar is trained in all aspects of Hepatology and Gastrointestinal Emergencies viz. Gastrointestinal Bleed, Medical Management of all Acute Abdominal Conditions, Liver Failure, Chronic Liver Disease and its Complications, Biliary and Pancreatic Problems. He is also trained in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy (Banding, Electrocoagulation, Dilatation, Foreign Body Removal, Feeding Tube Placement, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy).
Dr. Sachin Palnitkar completed his MD training in Internal Medicine from INHS Asvini in Mumbai (2009-12). He stood first in the MD exam held in Jan 2012 and was honored with a Gold Medal by Maharashtra Health University.
He is trained in one of the pioneer institutes of Liver Transplant in South India for 3 years & practiced there as a consultant Hepatologist and had a real time experience of managing more than 300 Liver Transplant Patients in the span of last 5 years.He has published many articles in international & national journals and also international conferences.
He performs gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP ( procedure to remove bile duct stones )
- Hepatisis screening program : Conducted hepatitis screening program at Nanded city Pune, screening and vaccinating 347 people.
- Hepatitis screening program : On occasion of world womens day, we screened around 110 women from Nanded gaon.
- Vaccination program : Free first dose of vaccination against Hepatitis B given to more than 310 staff at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hosptial, Pune.

Turned down due to infections.
Due to continuous efforts of Dr Prasad Akole and entire ICU team and Liver unit ,it was possible to send him home walking.

सौ सायली चौधरी, मूळ च्या लातूरच्या, एक सामान्य गृहिणी , त्यांचे पती श्री अभिषेक चौधरी, पुण्यात software कंपनीत कामाल असतात. एक 7 महिन्याचे बाळ आणि एक 7 वर्षाचा मुलगा असा सुखी परिवार !
अभिषेकला non alcoholic liver cirrhosis , चे निदान झाले आणि ह्या संसाराला दुःखाचे ग्रहण लागले.
अभिषेक ला लिव्हर ट्रान्सप्लांट लागणार होते आणि त्यासाठी मोठा खर्च. त्यात लिव्हरची , उपलब्धता कमी. डॉ सचिन पळणीतकर ह्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली त्यांचे दीनानाथ मध्ये उपचार सुरू झाले.
तान्ह्या बाळाला सोबत घेऊन liver transplant साठी लागणारी procedure पूर्ण करणे आणि त्यासोबत त्याला लागणारा निधी उभा करणे ही आव्हाने सायली समोर उभी राहिली. असे म्हणतात की माणसाला मराठवाड्यातून बाहेर काढता येईल पण माणसातील मराठवाडा बाहेर काढणे शक्य नाही. सायलीच्या संकटातून तिच्या मनातली दडलेल्या झुंजार प्रवृत्तीने आता प्रकट व्हायला सुरुवात केली.
निधी संकलन आणि इतर सर्व सोपस्कार पार पाडत , असतांनाच, सायलीचे लिव्हर तिच्या पतीस match होत आहे असे तपासणीतून पुढे आले , आणि सायलीने अभिषेकला लिव्हर देण्याचे ठरवले.
नवरा liver cirrhosis ने ग्रस्त, त्यात दोन लहान मुले ,लहानगा केवळ 7 महिन्यांचा, दीनानाथ मंगेशकर हॉस्पिटल चे डॉक्टर्स पण तणावात होते, सर्जरी कोणत्याही परिस्थिती यशस्वी होण्याचे अनामिक दडपण मनावर होते.
डॉक्टरांनी तर समर्थ पणे पेललं आणि आज त्या परिवाराला एक नवीन आयुष्य मिळाले.
